Lorena’s Challenge
In November of 2014, Lorena got her first taste of competition, and she was hooked. Even though she did not place well, something grabbed her about the excitement of standing before the world, wearing nothing but a competition bikini to show off the physique she had worked hard to build. She knew that she had found her passion and vowed to do whatever it would take to reach her full potential and earn the elusive pro card.
This first time on stage was the culmination of intense work on her nutrition and her training. Unfortunately, this made her performance more disappointing because she did not get the results she wanted.
After that competition, she was determined to work harder, and she pushed herself to be in the best condition of her life for the next competition. Disappointingly, the next competition brought another subpar finish. Subsequent competitions would yield the same unsatisfactory results.
She became frustrated because she believed that she was doing everything in her power to get better. But she continued to be stranded on the same mediocre plateau.
One glaring example of a problem that Lorena did not know was holding her back was the Bikini Competition Suit she competed in. The suit did not fit her in a way that highlighted her best features. She was unaware of how this radiated a perception of her that was undermining her success.
She was losing her motivation and felt her dream of being competitive on the professional level slipping away. Something had to change.

Lorena’s Journey
She thought that she was doing everything she could to prepare and did not know what was holding her back.
Was it her competition suit? Her posing? What was in the secret sauce of success that the top competitors had found?
After five months of trying to do everything on her own and not getting the results she wanted she decided to seek help. When she was feeling down one day, skimming through Facebook for answers and inspiration, she came across one of Shawn’s stage presence training videos.
While watching the first video, Lorena was intrigued as Shawn’s unique expertise was evident. After viewing another video, she was hooked and continued to watch and find ways to improve.
She rode this new wave of inspiration to a national qualifying competition. While backstage at the competition Lorena recognized Shawn working with one of her “Cuties” and decided that she had to introduce herself to the woman who had inspired her.
Lorena could not help but tell Shawn how she was “blown away” by everything that she had learned by watching Shawn’s videos and the buzz about Shawn around the industry. Lorena asked if she could work with Shawn on the spot….

Lorena’s Solution
Although Lorena was working hard to nail down her nutrition, training, and do what she thought was everything she could do to compete at the highest level, she could not get over the hump.
The truth is that she needed someone with Shawn’s unique expertise to detect her weaknesses and teach her the nuances of what it takes to become an elite competitor.
Shawn agreed to take Lorena on, and the transformation was fast. They started with a detailed analysis of Lorena’s career, emphasizing such key points as fitness and competition strategy.

After fixing the issues with her suit, Shawn set to work to fine-tune every part of her stage game from her hairstyle right down to the makeup she wore.
Shawn gave her a challenging new posing routine and worked every detail of it with Lorena until it was flawless. Lorena began to feel completely at ease while competing, a stark difference from the past where she had times when she felt insecure.
